Chin Na for Self Defense

This program is currently unavailable. Click here to view all of our current programs.

Chin Na is one of the four martial strategies of all Chinese martial arts. This “seize and control” art is the root of the martial arts of jujitsu and aikido. Whether you are interested in a practical self defense course or would like to add Chin Na to the martial style that you currently practice there will be a lot of useful material for you.

Students will learn how to escape if they are grabbed by using leverage instead of strength. They will also learn how to control an adversary by using joint locks

These skills will often be enough to defend yourself in most self defense situations but how and where to strike somebody when necessary will also be discussed and practiced.

Thursday evenings, 7:00-7:45 pm
