Youth Basketball Program Information
Participation in sports is a privilege that comes with shared responsibility. All participants are expected to follow facility rules, respect the space, and help maintain a safe and welcoming environment. When expectations are not met, it impacts the experience for everyone involved.
Program Overview
Basketball is offered to youth athletes in Grades 1–6.
- Grades 3–6: Teams will play games against other area towns.
- Grades 1–2: Saturday morning instructional program only.
- Pre-K & Kindergarten: Instructional program only.
The objective of WRC’s Youth Basketball Program is to provide children with the opportunity to play basketball in an organized, competitive, and recreational setting. Emphasis is placed on:
- Learning basic skills and fundamentals
- Understanding the rules of the game
- Developing teamwork, fair play, and good sportsmanship

Registration Deadlines
- Grades 3–6: Monday, November 24
- Grades 1–2: Friday, December 1 (Maximum of 25 participants)
- Pre-K & Kindergarten: Friday, December 1 (Maximum of 25 participants)

• Saturdays, 11:00–11:45 AM
1st & 2nd Grade
• Girls: Saturdays, 8:30–9:30 AM
• Boys: Saturdays, 9:45–10:45 AM
3rd & 4th Grade
• Girls: Mondays & Wednesdays, 5:00–6:30 PM
• Boys: Tuesdays & Thursdays, 4:30–6:00 PM
5th & 6th Grade
• Boys (Green Team): Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, 3:15–4:45 PM
• Boys (White Team): Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, 5:00–6:30 PM
• Girls: Mondays & Wednesdays, 5:00–6:30 PM (possibly some Saturdays)

Uniforms

Upper-level teams (Grades 5–6) will be provided uniforms.
Uniforms must be returned at the end of the season.
A $50 fee will be charged for uniforms not returned.
