5:00 PM - 6:00 PM    Introduction to Swim Team - Introduction to Swim Team
Introduction to Swim Team (Ages 5–12)Our Introduction to Swim Team program is designed for young swimmers who are comfortable in the water and ready to build confidence, skills, and team spirit. This is not a learn to swim program. Participants learn the fundamentals of freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly in a supportive, fun, and encouraging environment. Coaches focus on proper technique, safe training habits, and developing a love for the sport while preparing swimmers for future competitive opportunities. This program is perfect for kids ages 5–12 who want to improve their swimming ability and experience being part of a team. There will be a full unofficial swim meet as part of this fun program.Practice will me Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday 5-6pmThe first 25 children to sign up will receive a swim cap on the first day of practice, a second order will be placed if we have more than 25 swimmers.OUR COACHES: Sarah Reiter and Lizzie CoelhoSarah is a local mom who wants to share the joy of swimming with our community! First introduced to the sport through a local summer team at the age of 6, Sarah went on to compete at the DI and international level. Her love for coaching began in high school, and since then, she has coached a wide range of teams across the U.S. Sarah is happiest when in the water (or on the pool deck) connecting with the community and her family.   Lizzie is a local mom of four who grew up competitively swimming and playing water polo. During college, she coached a summer swim team and taught swim lessons to young children. She is excited to teach kids new swimming skills while helping swimmers build confidence, develop a love for the sport, and have a positive team experience this summer.

This is not a learn to swim program. Participants learn the fundamentals of freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly in a supportive, fun, and encouraging environment. Coaches focus on proper technique, safe training habits, and developing a love for the sport while preparing swimmers for future competitive opportunities. This program is perfect for kids ages 5–12 who want to improve their swimming ability and experience being part of a team. There will be a full unofficial swim meet as part of this fun program.Practice will me Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday 5-6pmThe first 25 children to sign up will receive a swim cap on the first day of practice, a second order will be placed if we have more than 25 swimmers.OUR COACHES: Sarah Reiter and Lizzie CoelhoSarah is a local mom who wants to share the joy of swimming with our community! First introduced to the sport through a local summer team at the age of 6, Sarah went on to compete at the DI and international level. Her love for coaching began in high school, and since then, she has coached a wide range of teams across the U.S. Sarah is happiest when in the water (or on the pool deck) connecting with the community and her family.   Lizzie is a local mom of four who grew up competitively swimming and playing water polo. During college, she coached a summer swim team and taught swim lessons to young children. She is excited to teach kids new swimming skills while helping swimmers build confidence, develop a love for the sport, and have a positive team experience this summer.

During college, she coached a summer swim team and taught swim lessons to young children. She is excited to teach kids new swimming skills while helping swimmers build confidence, develop a love for the sport, and have a positive team experience this summer.

Day Camp at the Woodstock Recreation Center Ages 5-11Day Camp is located in the UPPER level of the Woodstock Little Theatre.We strive to provide an array of activities and programs that your child will enjoy and learn from. Our camp staff participates in the Vermont Parks & Recreation statewide summer staff training program in May. They return energized with creative ideas and valuable knowledge to ensure a fun, safe, and enriching summer experience.Camp will be closed July 4th.____________________________________________________________________Camp Groups_________________________________________________________________Campers are divided by age: 5–6 year olds 7–8 year olds 9–11 year olds This summer will include exciting new adventures, crafts, camp songs, games, swimming lessons, nature walks, hiking, and much more._________________________________________________________________What to Bring to Camp (MANDATORY)_________________________________________________________________ Sturdy Footwear: Athletic shoes or hiking boots are required. Please do not send your child in sandals. Camp includes active games, hikes, and outdoor activities. Rainwear & Warm Clothing: Please dress your child appropriately or send extra clothing in case of weather changes. Morning Snack & Lunch (Ready to Eat): Camp does not provide food. Water Bottle Sunscreen, swimsuit and towel ________________________________________________________Drop-Off & Pick-Up________________________________________________________________ Drop-Off: 8:30 AM – 9:00 AM Pick-Up: 4:00 PM – 4:30 PM Location: UPPER level of the Woodstock Little Theatre The WRC is not responsible for children dropped off before 8:30 AM or picked up after 4:30 PM.Please note: Staff are only responsible for children who are officially registered with the Woodstock Recreation Center, Inc._______________________________________________________________Registration & Payment_______________________________________________________________ Registration must be prepaid by Thursday of the week prior to your child attending camp. No deposits are accepted. Full payment is required at the time of registration due to high demand. All children must be 100% toilet trained to attend camp. A medical release form must be completed and submitted on the first day of camp. Partial scholarships are available. Early applications are strongly encouraged. ________________________________________________________Refund Policy________________________________________________________________ Cancellation Fee: $25 per week, per child. Notice Requirement: At least one week’s notice is required for any refund or credit. After May 1st: Cancellations made after May 1st are eligible for household CREDIT ONLY (no exceptions). Credit may be used toward future programs or memberships. Why This Policy Exists: This policy ensures we can properly staff and plan our summer programs to provide the best possible experience for all campers._________________________________________________________________Behavior & Safety Policy_________________________________________________________________Every child attending camp is entitled to a safe and supportive environment.Our programs cannot serve children who display chronically disruptive behavior. If a child has difficulty following program guidelines: Parents will be contacted to discuss a plan of action. Continued disciplinary problems may result in the child being unable to attend camp the following week. All information will be kept confidential. 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM    Introduction to Swim Team - Introduction to Swim Team
Introduction to Swim Team (Ages 5–12)Our Introduction to Swim Team program is designed for young swimmers who are comfortable in the water and ready to build confidence, skills, and team spirit. This is not a learn to swim program. Participants learn the fundamentals of freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly in a supportive, fun, and encouraging environment. Coaches focus on proper technique, safe training habits, and developing a love for the sport while preparing swimmers for future competitive opportunities. This program is perfect for kids ages 5–12 who want to improve their swimming ability and experience being part of a team. There will be a full unofficial swim meet as part of this fun program.Practice will me Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday 5-6pmThe first 25 children to sign up will receive a swim cap on the first day of practice, a second order will be placed if we have more than 25 swimmers.OUR COACHES: Sarah Reiter and Lizzie CoelhoSarah is a local mom who wants to share the joy of swimming with our community! First introduced to the sport through a local summer team at the age of 6, Sarah went on to compete at the DI and international level. Her love for coaching began in high school, and since then, she has coached a wide range of teams across the U.S. Sarah is happiest when in the water (or on the pool deck) connecting with the community and her family.   Lizzie is a local mom of four who grew up competitively swimming and playing water polo. During college, she coached a summer swim team and taught swim lessons to young children. She is excited to teach kids new swimming skills while helping swimmers build confidence, develop a love for the sport, and have a positive team experience this summer.
